This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on the challenge of working with automation, electro/mechanical, and data acquisition systems for turnkey projects in the automotive test industry.
Responsibilities include checking on-site electrical installations, fault finding, calibrating systems, configuring CADET V14 software, integrating third-party hardware, performing test runs, and developing automation sequences. Engineers will also create custom system functionality, work with customers to achieve system sign-off, and provide initial training and ongoing support.
Sierra CP welcomes candidates with varying experience levels and provides appropriate training.
Suitable candidates should be self-driven and proactive with a good understanding of electrical systems, and ideally a degree in engineering or a related field. Basic programming knowledge in C# or Visual Basic, familiarity with protocols such as Ethernet and CAN, and strong fault-finding skills are desirable.
A willingness to travel extensively, good communication skills, and a full UK driving licence are essential.
